Exploring economics teachers’ efficacy beliefs in the teaching of economics

This study explored Economics teachers’ efficacy beliefs in the teaching of Economics. The quantitative research approach was adopted for with focus on descriptive cross-sectional survey design. In total, 125 Senior High School teachers were selected study. Teacher Sense Efficacy Scale adapted as data collection instrument Both statistics (e.g. means and standard deviations) inferential (MANOVA) used to analyse data. revealed that more efficacious instructional strategies (M = 4.14, SD .94) compared classroom management 4.04, .97) student engagement 4.03, .98). Also, it found out there a statistically significant difference based their experience. However, no school proprietorship location. Therefore, recommended Ghana Education Service, Ministry Non-Governmental Organisations should continue organise professional development programmes ensure continuous, progressive consistent high level teachers. private public SHS headmasters in-service training further enrich level. organisation seminars teachers, equal attention be given rural urban
